Jared Herzog is a singer-songwriter who was born and raised along the Emerald Coast.
Growing up on gospel and worship music, Jared became influenced by the smooth, emotional melodies and later joined his choral and ensemble groups in school and church. In these groups, he competed at the highest levels of state and carried his pursuit of music into his studies at Lee University.
While at Lee University, Jared continued his involvement in worship styles of music, becoming the worship leader for the University in his final four semesters. His Junior year of college, Jared was featured on Season 17 of NBC’s “The Voice”, in which he had three chair turns and ended up working with industry greats such as John Legend and Usher.
After his time on the show and as school came to an end, Jared began his professional music career by gigging full time along along 30a and other locations throughout the Emerald Coast. This all began just months after restaurants and bars began to re-open in Florida following the Covid-19 pandemic. It was in Florida that he met industry-leading producers, musicians, and managers, who prompted him to move to Nashville. Not long after, he made the move to Nashville to see what it was all about.
After a year of gigging full time at bars in and around downtown Nashville, Jared felt as though he needed to get back to his roots to further his music career; to become a big fish in a little pond. It just so happens that this little pond is often visited by the same world class music industry folks that he would meet in Nashville.
You can now see Jared perform live at Old Florida Fish House weekly, as he is slowly growing his original music portfolio and finding himself more as an artist.
Jared has drawn inspiration from John Mayer, Allen Stone, and Ed Sheeran over the years, but is now producing music that has it’s own pop-soul sound. Come out and support Jared on Monday and Tuesday evenings at Old Florida Fish House!
